Breonna Slocum, MD

Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences

My research is broadly focused on the mechanisms shaping individual reproductive decision making and on how these decisions play into broader demographic and social patterns.  Much of this work sits at the intersection of critical race theory, feminist and gender scholarship, and population studies.

Much of this work involves particular focus on low fertility, demographic change, medically-assisted reproduction, access to assisted reproductive technologies, and marginalized communities. I also particularly interested in community-partnered research approaches and qualitative methodology.
